Cabernet Sauvignon Mayacamas Range "Fourteen Barrels" 2012

Cabernet Sauvignon 79%, Petit Verdot 7% and Cabernet Franc 14%

This comes from our estate vineyard at 1,700 feet of elevation in the Mayacamas Mountains of Sonoma Valley and grapes purchased from several neighbors. Aged in new and older French oak barrels, this wine has a marvelous red cherry aroma and taste with wonderful richness, balance and a long, elegant finish. The powerful aroma of black currant and blueberry provides immediate appeal for this "left bank" Bordeaux-style wine. The luxurious mouth feel and opulent yet elegant taste adds to this allure. Aged 28 months in new and older French oak barrels, this is intended for your immediate enjoyment but will also gain in complexity for at least 15 years after the vintage. Only 344 cases produced.
